Dartmouth College Library

Representative: John DeSantis

The Slavic collection at Dartmouth is designed primarily to support an undergraduate Russian literature major program, so the bulk of the collection is in Russian, although the Library does have holdings in other Slavic languages.  In addition, thanks to the substantial gift of the library of Professors Dean Worth and Emily Klenin, Dartmouth holds the largest collection of Slavic linguistic materials in northern New England.  The Special Collections library also holds rare imprints in Russian from the 17th through 19th centuries, some rare Soviet publications, and translations of American literature into Slavic languages.

The Library also subscribes to indexes and databases focused on Slavic Studies, as well as to a variety of electronic journals and newspapers, including digital archives, which support faculty research and the Russian program.
